As a company based in Switzerland, with offices in Asia and the Americas, and doing business all over the world, English has always been #tide's language of choice. While that won't change, we realize that in order to reach as many people as possible, we need to speak to the world in more than one language. Raising awareness is as much a part of what we do as collecting and upcycling ocean-bound plastic waste. We need to talk to as many people as possible about plastic pollution and the way out of this mess (spoiler: the transition to a circular economy).
So we are very happy to announce that we have just launched our website in two more languages: German and French.
๐Hallo Welt & Bonjour le monde!๐๐
We feel it is especially important to reach more people in Europe, because much of the environmental disaster that is plastic pollution has been created in the Global North. Consumerism and late industrialization are driving this crisis. And it is here that the responsibility to find solutions is greatest. Simply put, as businesses and citizens of Western countries, it is our duty to do everything in our power to solve this problem.
In addition to the new multilingual website, where you can learn all about our products, mission, business model and impact, the #tide team is also able to discuss your new project ideas in several languages: English, German and French, Italian, Chinese and Spanish.
โWe cannot solve the problem of plastic pollution on our own. To make a real impact, we need strong partners from around the world to join us in our mission. Only by working together can we make a real difference.โ
